Robin Cocheu of Beaverton earns degree from George Fox University

Robin Cocheu of Beaverton was among more than 700 graduates who participated in commencement ceremonies at George Fox University in early May. Cocheu earned a bachelor of science in elementary education degree(s).

The Newberg, Ore., school hosted an undergraduate commencement for 430 graduates on Saturday, May 2, and hosted separate departmental ceremonies for the 300 graduating from its graduate and seminary programs.

Ken Beebe, an alumnus of the university who has served the past 21 years as executive director of the Twin Rocks Friends Camp and Conference Center, addressed undergraduates at their ceremony.

George Fox University is ranked by Forbes among the top Christian universities in the country and is a Christian college classified by U.S. News & World Report as a first-tier regional university. More than 3,700 students attend classes on the university's campus in Newberg, Ore., and at teaching centers in Portland, Salem and Redmond, Ore. George Fox offers bachelor's degrees in more than 40 majors, degree-completion programs for working adults, six seminary degrees, and 11 master's and doctoral degrees.
